The first office in Istanbul
Metin Afacan founds Afacan Gümrükleme in Istanbul. Holding an A-class licence, he is long regarded as one of the profession’s most knowledgeable and experienced figures.
The limited-company era
The office incorporates: Afacan Gümrük Müşavirliği Limited Şirketi is established.
A new regulatory era
The EU–Türkiye Customs Union enters into force; regulation tracking moves to the centre of the profession.
Whoever doesn’t read the regulation daily cannot protect their client.
The electronic declaration era
Declarations move to the electronic environment; registration, tracking and archiving run centrally and electronically.
Joint-stock company
The company takes its present name, Afacan Lojistik ve Gümrük Müşavirliği A.Ş.
