Privacy and Protection of Personal Data

This page explains which personal data afacangumruk.com.tr collects, why we process it, and the rights you have under Turkish data protection law (KVKK, Law No. 6698).

Data Controller

Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) the data controller is Afacan Gümrük Müşavirliği. Our head office address and contact details are below.

What we collect

Personal data is collected on this site only through the contact form on the /iletisim page. When you fill it in and submit it, we receive:

  • Your name
  • Company name — only if you enter one; the field is optional
  • Your phone number and e-mail address
  • The service subject you select and the free-text message you write
  • The IP address the submission was sent from

Browsing the rest of the site requires no information from you; there is no account, membership or profile anywhere outside that form.

Why we process it, and on what legal basis

Form data is processed solely to assess your enquiry, answer your question and get back to you about the matter you raised. It is not used to build a marketing list, to profile you, or to make automated decisions.

Name, company, phone, e-mail, subject and message are processed on the explicit consent you give with the checkbox on the form (KVKK art. 5/1). The IP address is recorded to prevent abuse of the form and automated bulk submissions, on the basis of the controller's legitimate interest (KVKK art. 5/2-f).

Who we share it with

Form submissions are forwarded by e-mail to the colleagues in the firm who will handle the enquiry. Your data is not sold, rented or passed to any third party outside the firm for marketing. Disclosure to competent public authorities where the law requires it is reserved.

There are two points where your browser connects directly to a third party: Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects the contact form against automated submissions, and Google Maps, which serves the map frames on the contact page. In those connections the provider sees your browser's connection details and that data is governed by its own policy; the rest of the site carries no third-party content.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept for as long as we need them to assess your enquiry and to meet our burden of proof in any dispute that may follow; they are deleted once that period ends.

Cookies and tracking

No advertising or visitor-analytics software runs on this site; no measurement tag is present in the page source. Fonts are served from this site itself, not from an external network. The site writes no cookie of its own to your browser; when you dismiss the announcement dialog, that preference is held only in your browser's session storage and is never sent to the server. What the Cloudflare and Google components named above keep in your browser is outside this site's control.

Your rights under KVKK

Under article 11 of the KVKK you may apply to the data controller and ask to:

  • Learn whether your personal data is being processed and, if so, request information about it
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose
  • Know the third parties to whom the data is transferred, in Turkey or abroad
  • Request that incomplete or incorrectly processed data be corrected
  • Request erasure or destruction of the data under the conditions set out in the law, and that any correction or erasure be notified to the third parties the data was transferred to
  • Object to an outcome against you produced solely by automated analysis of the data, and claim compensation if you suffer loss because of unlawful processing

To exercise these rights, send your request to the e-mail address below; it will be answered within the period the KVKK prescribes.

Requests and contact

Requests under the KVKK go to the data controller's address below. No separate contact person is appointed; requests are handled through this address.
